The internal design of SST servo drives was accomplished using a suite of design techniques we call QuietDesign™. The combination of these techniques reduce conducted and radiated RF noise to very low levels. Hence, a minimum of precautions need to be taken on your part when installing SST servo drives into your machines.
In fact, when installed following the simple instructions, SST servo drives exceeds the CE 50081-2 Class A specification for emissions by 13dB! QuietDesign™ includes common and differential filtering of the PWM motor outputs, common mode filtering of the input control signals, snubbing and slew rate limiting in the internal DC-DC converter, RF grid PWB design rules, double bypassing of high speed components and careful routing of all clocks and high speed signals.
By reducing the required installation precautions, QuietDesign™ lowers cabling and assembly costs, while decreased noise increases system reliability.
