All of WorldServo’s
motors are brushless AC servomotors with integrated encoders. Neodium-Iron-Boron
magnetic material is used in all of the motors to attain high power density
while maintaining a low cost per watt. These high power density motors
help you increase throughput even when your available space for the motor
is constrained.
The magnetic design of the motors includes skewed stators and/or rotors
for minimum cogging torque and torque ripple.
Since the motors
are brushless, the only parts with mechanical contact are the shaft bearings.
The bearings used are oversized, single row, deep groove radial bearings
with non-contact lubrication seals. The large ball bearings have diameter
variations of less than 15 millionths of an inch, and the steel used is
vacuum degassed and heat treated for maximum endurance. Thus, these motors
are exceptionally reliable. Additionally, the SST’s true RMS torque limit
feature protects the motor windings from overheating in the event of a
mechanical jam or other high-current situation.
