The sinusoidial, closed-loop vector torque control of the SST servo drive will enhance the performance of linear motors, not limit it like other amplifiers with non-sinusoidal commutation and/or lower bandwidth. Because of the wide configurability of the SST servo drive, it can work with virtually every available linear motor/scale combination on the market, thus enhancing your design flexibility. There is practically no limit on linear motor parameters: pole spacing (number of encoder counts per magnetic cycle), resistance, inductance or encoder resolution.
