The SST servo drives support high-resolution encoder feedback to 2 MHz (standard) and up to 20 Mhz as an option. When coupled with high line count encoders or scales, this capability allows for extreme resolution and accuracy simultaneous with high-speed operation. Although SST servo systems work well even with low-resolution feedback, the extra resolution supported by the SST servo drives can further reduce acoustical noise, shorten settling time and improve tracking accuracy.
