The exchange file header resource offers a view of the content of the HEADER section of a Part 21 file; as specified in the ISO 10303-21 standaard. The header section contains information on the author of the exchange structure, a time and date field, and on the application used to generate the exchange file, as well as other fields descriptive of the exchange file itself. The format of XML data for this view is specified in the XML schema header.xsd
For those files encoded in Part 28 the corresponding elements of the header element are mapped into the view fields.
The header view is available for all exchange files. It may be identified in the root resource for an exchange file by locating the node with attributes belonging to the XLink namespace; the URL for the header view resource is the value of XLink:href in the node with XLink:role="http://www.kshell.com/role/spri/header"
