Making a Purchase
As you find files you want on the internet, just place them into the Knapsack. You can be sure that CustomCDrom protects your credit card information, and does not release your credit card information to any outside organizations. Several options exist for our customers:
Shipping & Handling
Charges
Shipping charges are based on the carrier, level of service, and destination address. Carriers include USPS, Fedex, and UPS. Please make sure that you enter your address correctly. We must charge you for shipping if we have to re-ship an item because of an address error.
Unavailable File
Requests (UFRs)
Due to rapid change of URL names, locations and file availabilities, we may occasionally be unable to obtain a file you requested. For example, you may have requested a file on a particular server which then becomes unavailable after you place your order. If this occurs, you will be notified via e-mail and given the opportunity to adjust or cancel your order. We will wait to receive your updated order before we proceed to create your custom CD-ROM.
Other reasons for UFRs include: busy server, server restrictions, password protection of subscription services.
If you wish for your order to proceed despite missing UFRs, indicate so on your order form.
Viruses
Because we act only as a download service for the information you request, and not as the creator of that information, we cannot guarantee that your download is completely virus-free. As such, we are not liable for any damages related to viruses that you ask us to download for you.
We recommend that our customers -- indeed, every computer user -- scan incoming files. You can download current releases of virus software such as McAfee, Norton AntiVirus signatures, or IntegrityMaster for the DOS and Windows platforms and Disinfectant or HyperCard stacks for the Macintosh.
If you should come across a virus, notify the webmaster of the sourcing site immediately so that they can endeavor to remove it from their system as quickly as possible. In addition, send a message to Viruscop@CustomCDrom so that we can also help do our part in limiting the spread of such virus.
